The Annapolis Human Relations Commission has held a quadrennial nonpartisan “candidates forum” in recent years featuring individuals running for Mayor and City Council. The Commission is a City Board that works to eliminate discrimination and promote equal opportunity.
The Commission will continue its tradition. It will host an in-person forum on Thursday, September 9 at 7 p.m. at Eastport United Methodist Church. All candidates for Mayor and City Council will have an opportunity to make a statement not to exceed five minutes about what specific action or actions they would take if elected to promote good human relations in the City of Annapolis and move us toward “One Annapolis.”
There will be a Q&A session after all candidates have made their presentations. The church’s COVID 19 policies will be in place.
