Hymn – O Come, All Ye Faithful
Research indicates that this is a collaborative work written and composed by John Francis Wade and translated from Latin by several individuals. The music and lyrics were written between 1740 and 1743. The invitation to “come, all ye faithful…” places us among the shepherds who rushed to see the Christ child, and among all of those who journey to Bethlehem in their hearts.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, count us among the faithful, who journey to be with you, whose hearts are turned towards Bethlehem and in all the places you reside. Amen.
