Music at EUMC

 Blessed are the Choir Singers
for they make a heavenly harmony!

 Our Choirs and Musicians

The Wesleyan Choir meets for rehearsal at 7:00 on Thursday nights throughout the school year. Anthems are varied and range from traditional sacred sounds to folk, gospel and contemporary.

Also featured each Sunday is our Prays Band including vocalists, keyboard, guitar, bass and drums.
The hand bell choir known as Heavenly Bells practices Monday evenings at 7:00 and performs throughout the year.
Soul Searchers is a youth choir based out of Eastport United Methodist Church, made up of middle, high school, and college age youth.  Rehearsals begin in January with performances in the summer.  See Soul Searchers link in this website.
  Our Directors
JoAnn Kulesza, Music Director at EUMC, is currently Music Director of Opera Programs at the Peabody Conservatory.  An accomplished professional teacher, director, and musician, JoAnn spiritually enriches us as she organizes and directs both small and large choral works.
Margie Hughes is our devoted and talented Handbell Director. Our bell ringers were mostly unfamiliar with bells or reading music, and they have progressed rapidly under Margie's direction.
Scott and Nichole Hughes direct the Soul Searchers.  Both are musicians and bring both personal and professional talent to the job.

Special Music
We have been privileged to have the Arundel Vocal Arts Society, directed by our Music Director and Organist, JoAnn Kulesza, perform at EUMC.  Some of our congregants are members of AVAS.  Keep in touch with Upcoming Events on this website's home page for dates and times of future performances.
